Where is our data stored?: With On Demand, in a tenant of your own in Germany, separate from other customers. With Private Spark, on the device in your building.
What happens when we connect a source?: You choose a source and allow read access. souveraen.ai keeps the sections for search in your tenant and syncs them with the source. The originals stay where they are.
Who sees what?: Permissions from SharePoint, file servers and Exchange are taken over per file and checked again for every question. An agent also sees only what the person who started it may see.
What can agents do without you?: Search and read. For each writing step, you decide whether it runs automatically or waits for approval. Emails to outside recipients only go out once someone has approved the exact preview.
Which models see our requests?: Open models run in Germany or locally on Private Spark. External models depend on your plan: providers do not store requests or answers, chat and search run in the EU, and reranking and image generation can run outside the EU. No model is trained on your data.
Which contracts and evidence are available?: From Pro, you sign the DPA and the § 203 StGB confidentiality agreement online. Free has no DPA and is meant for testing with non-critical documents. We have not yet completed an ISO 27001 or C5 audit.

Frequently asked questions.

How does souveraen.ai learn?

When someone adds to or corrects an answer, an authorised person can approve the clarification. It then goes into the company knowledge with its source and applies to everyone in the workspace.

Who decides what goes into the company knowledge?

Only approved clarifications are added. You decide for each workspace who may approve them.

Can law firms and tax advisers use On Demand?

Yes. The data is stored in Germany, and you sign the confidentiality agreement under § 203 StGB (German professional secrecy law) online.

What happens after the Free plan?

Free has no expiry date. If you need more users or more AI credits, switch to Pro or Max in your account.

When is on-premise worth it?

When your data should not leave your building at all, or when your team asks so much that a fixed price without token costs is cheaper.

How is this different from ChatGPT?

souveraen.ai answers from your own documents, names the source, respects access rights and learns from your clarifications. The data is stored in Germany and is not used for training.
